My Approach to Therapy
Therapy is more than talking about what troubles you—it’s about us mutually noticing and experiencing your voice in a way that fosters healing, growth, and meaningful change. In therapy, we are reflecting on your lived experience in the present moment, collaboratively exploring themes and patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and relationships. This process allows you to understand your emotions more deeply, uncover the needs beneath them, and respond to yourself with greater compassion.
Through us experiencing your emotions in a safe, supportive space, you build self-trust and develop a deeper sense of clarity, connection, and acceptance in your unique perspective. In therapy, I invite you to step into your authentic self, and experience your ability to navigate life’s challenges with assurance and emotional resilience.

My Background
My path to becoming a therapist was unconventional and filled with interesting life experiences. I have explored careers in engineering and design across varied jobs in labour, service, academic, corporate, industrial, commercial, and freelance settings. I experienced all manner of failures and successes both professionally and personally. Therapy played an instrumental role in giving me the permission to slow down and cultivate self-compassion when I was overwhelmed with insecurity, shame, and perfectionism. Most importantly, therapy taught me the importance of having another person bear witness to my inner experiences from an unconditional place. This characteristic 'unconditional positive regard' completely changed my perspective, influenced my work both creatively and interpersonally, and ultimately set me on the path to embracing a career in mental health.

Treatment Basics
Therapeutic Relationship
The therapeutic relationship is central to deep and transformative change. In Person Centered Therapy (PCT) it fosters self-actualization through empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard. In Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) it provides a secure base for emotional processing and attachment healing.
Person Centered Therapy
Developed by Carl Rogers, PCT is based on the belief that healing occurs in a supportive relational environment rather than through structured interventions. It follows a non-directive approach, where the therapist allows the client to lead the process. PCT trusts in the client’s innate drive toward self-actualization, believing that with the right conditions, individuals naturally move toward growth and fulfillment.
Emotionally Focused Therapy
Developed by Sue Johnson, EFT emphasizes the role of emotion as a pathway to change. EFT is grounded in attachment theory, and fosters healing by strengthening emotional bonds with significant others. Clients explore core fears and unmet needs, identify relational patterns, deepen emotional engagement, and restructure interactions to create secure and lasting connections.
