About Me

My path to becoming a therapist wasn't a straight line. I have explored careers in engineering and design across varied jobs in labour, service, academic, corporate, industrial, commercial, and freelance settings. I experienced lots of failures and successes along the way.
Therapy played an instrumental role in giving me the permission to slow down and cultivate self-compassion when I was overwhelmed with insecurity, shame, and perfectionism. Most importantly, therapy taught me the importance of having another person bear witness to my inner experiences from an unconditional place. This characteristic 'unconditional positive regard' completely changed my perspective, influenced my work both creatively and interpersonally, and ultimately set me on the path to embracing a career in mental health.
