I’m a first-generation Chinese-Canadian. I know what it’s like to experience racial discrimination, the weight of family expectations, interracial relationships, and the particular exhaustion of never quite fitting or feeling accepted with family, friends, and coworkers. I know how hard it is to build a life that feels authentic and whole out of so many disparate parts.
